I remember buying my first Zara fragrance years ago on an overseas trip to somewhere in Europe. Zara was not in SA at the time and I bought two fragrances, one for myself and one as a gift for my mother. Fast forward to 2018, Zara has been in South Africa for a few years now and I have rediscovered their fragrances. I say rediscovered because one of my previous employers owned fragrances and we would get 40% selected fragrances (Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Kenzo etc.) so for a while I had an extensive range of fragrances at any given time. I really have not had to buy fragrances at a retail store for a while up until last year when my range was running low. I was obviously shocked at the prices and just could not imagine myself paying so much money but smelling good is a priority so I did but I realised that this was not going to be sustainable. I had also become accustomed to having multiple fragrances at a time and it was going to be very expensive to maintain that.
Enter Zara. I was initially sceptical of the fragrances because of their price points, I was sure that it wore off halfway through the day and performed like a deodorant. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I was wrong, they have a wide enough range to cater to different preferences and I have found that they last throughout the day. If you’re on a budget and are looking for fragrances that will help you manage that budget, Zara fragrances are the best option I can recommend. I can never have enough fragrances so this gives me the flexibility to buy the high end fragrances at a pace that works for me.
