I love masks, they make me feel like I am in a spa in my own bathroom. I decided to try the L’Oréal Pure Clay face masks, I wanted a product that would brighten my skin. They currently have three different versions available in South Africa, Purify & Mattify (green one), Detox & Brighten (grey one) and Exfoliate & Refine (pink one). For this post I used the Detox and Brighten mask.
The clay mask that I used is formulated with charcoal and draws out a build-up of impurities and dirt. After showering I applied the mask on my face using my fingertips to ensure it was applied evenly on my face. The mask felt like cold mud on my face but it wasn’t uncomfortable at all. I then waited about 10-15 minutes for it to get dry on my face and then washed it off with warm water.
I then applied the L’Oréal Pure Clay Exfoliating face wash onto my face. The face washes are also available in the same variants as the masks, I used the Detox and Brighten face wash. It ensures a better result and provides a deeper cleanse for radiant skin. I massaged it onto my skin, it even turned a whitish colour during the massage and then I washed it off with warm water as well. My skin felt so smooth afterwards, it actually felt and looked even better after I had also applied moisturiser. An immediate difference. I cannot wait to mask again, they recommend that you mask 2-3 times a week which is just impossible for me, at most I can do once a week which will be a great treat for my skin to look forward to.
